Tear up the Turf 2015!

We are excited to announce the dates and times for the Tear up the Turf clinic. This year we will be joined by Eddie HendersonEddie is the PSPL Surf Academy Director and Technical Director. He has extensive history in coaching, playing and player development: He is a former Scouting Liaison to the Boy's U14 U.S. National Team through Region IV ODP, former ODP Regional staff, former Scouting Liaison to the Girl's U15-17 U.S. National Team through US Club ECNL and former Coaching Director for Las Vegas Heat ECNL. He was a US Youth National Team player on two teams, and professional player for ten years. He holds a USSF “A” license.


Tear Up The Turf Clinic (TC United, Chinqually and US Club players)

Friday January 16 & 23 @ RAC#1

These will be sessions led by the TC United coaching staff based off of input from Eddie Henderson's session with coaches on Jan 2nd. 

This will follow the same format as last year in that teams will be broken into similar aged groups to runs drills. Chinqually players will be mixed in according to not just age but skill level as well. Chinqually/recreational players $5 per session, Chinqually coaches are welcome free of charge to observe training.

 Group 1 U8-U12: 5:30-7pm

Group 2 U13+: 7-8:30pm


Tear Up The Turf Concuding Session  (TC United and Chinqually players)

Friday January 30th@ RAC#1

Eddie will return the final Friday of Tear Up The Turf. His plan will be to start out with everyone in a large joint exercise, and then break all players into individual groups. From that point forward he will float from group to group assisting coaches and working directly with players. 

Group 1 U8-U12: 5:30-6:45

Group 2 U13+: 7-8:15

Clinic is free for all TC United Players and US Club players (please bring player card), and they do not need to register.

Thurston County United, in partnership with Saint Martin’s University’s Men’s & Women’s Soccer Program are beginning a partnership with one major objective: to create a development program that improves the playing and coaching experience for TCU players and coaches.  The program will be led by Saint Martin's University Head Men's and Women's soccer coach, Rob Walker.
